Whither?

I am terribly bored and sick of Dunedin. Where would be a nice place to visit? Bear in mind I'm not fluent in any other languages and my probable solution to the speech barrier would be to talk progressively louder and Louder and LOUDER as if that will aid communication.
Also, I get sunburnt.
I saw a book about Birmingham that made it look really glamourous...
